1.	Eligibility & Membership Categories:
	(Note 1: Membership application is subject to approval by the Executive Committee) (Note 2: Membership is on a calendar year basis) Life Members: (Fee: HKD $3000) Individuals who (a) abide by the constitution of the Society and (b) either hold higher degrees in linguistics and language studies or have research publications in linguistics or related language studies Regular Members: (Fee: HKD $300) Individuals who (a) abide by the constitution of the Society and (b) either hold higher degrees in linguistics and language studies or have research publications in linguistics or related language studies Affiliate Members: (Fee: HKD $150) Individuals who (a) abide by the constitution of the Society and (b) either hold higher degrees in linguistics and language studies or have research publications in linguistics or related language studies and (c) live outside of Hong Kong Student Members: (Fee: HKD $75) Full-time students of tertiary institutions who (a) abide by the constitution of the Society and (b) have a valid student ID
